At-home neurofeedback. A clinician manages every step.
The same training you’d do in our Charlotte clinic, now in your own space and on your schedule. NeuroNook runs the program from inside The Loft, a licensed therapy practice, so your protocol is reviewed and adjusted by a clinician the entire way.
What at-home neurofeedback actually is.
At-home neurofeedback is the same training we do in the clinic, using a kit you keep for the length of your program. Sensors read your brainwaves while you watch a show or a movie. When your brain moves toward the patterns we’re training, the picture plays clearly. When it drifts, the picture dims. Your brain learns the difference on its own — you don’t have to do anything consciously.
What makes it clinical rather than a consumer gadget: every session’s data comes back to us. We review it, adjust your protocol, and map your progress at set points — the same oversight you’d get sitting in our office. Your training is still built from a qEEG brain map, not a guess.
Simple, transparent pricing.
+ $1,500 refundable deposit, held by check
Monthly billing begins one week after your orientation session and recurs on that same date each month. Your deposit check is voided and returned when all equipment is returned in working condition.
Everything you need to train.
Full neurofeedback kit for the duration of your program
Up to 20 training sessions per month, max 5 per week
Progress brain map + clinical review at session 20 and session 40
Ongoing clinical oversight and protocol adjustments
Flexible pacing — train on your schedule
Final-month optimization sessions based on your brain map results
From orientation to 40 sessions.
The program is designed to fit real life. You train when you can, at the pace that works for your family, with clinical oversight the entire time. We handle the protocol. You handle the schedule.
If you’re also doing talk therapy at The Loft, this is a natural fit — training at home frees up your in-office time to stay focused on therapy, not neurofeedback logistics.
Orientation — in office or by video
We set you up, walk you through the equipment, and do your first session together. This counts as session 1 of your 40. Local clients do this in our Charlotte office and take the kit home that day; clients outside the area do orientation over video and the kit ships to them. Your refundable $1,500 deposit is arranged at this step.
Your trial week begins
Your first week is a complimentary trial period. Get comfortable with the equipment at home before billing begins. Your first monthly charge starts one week after your orientation session.
Train at your own pace
Up to 5 sessions per week, up to 20 sessions per month. Life happens — go on vacation, have a slow week. The program flexes with you and continues until your 40 sessions are complete.
We stay with you throughout
We actively monitor your progress and adjust your protocol. At session 20 and session 40, you get a progress brain map and clinical review — in our Charlotte office, or remotely for distance clients (a remote mapping fee may apply). These reviews are included in your program.
Program complete
Once you reach 40 sessions, any remaining sessions in that final month are yours to use for targeted optimization based on your final brain map results. You get full value from every month.
Who the at-home program fits.
A good fit if…
- You’ve done neurofeedback in the clinic and want to keep going without the drive.
- Your schedule doesn’t line up with clinic hours.
- You’re already in therapy at The Loft and want to keep in-office time for that.
- You live outside the Charlotte area — kits ship nationwide.
- Cost matters. At-home runs about $1,100 a month less than the same number of sessions in clinic.
Probably not the right fit if…
- You’d rather not handle any equipment setup or occasional troubleshooting.
- You’re in an acute crisis or need close in-person monitoring right now.
- The person training tends to skip things without a set appointment to show up for.
You don’t have to be local.
Most of our at-home clients are in the Charlotte area, but the program isn’t limited to it. Kits ship anywhere in the country, and orientation is done over video for clients outside the area. Brain mapping — the initial map and the progress maps at sessions 20 and 40 — is done in our Charlotte office, or remotely for distance clients, where a remote mapping fee may apply. If you’re not sure whether the logistics work for where you live, ask us and we’ll be straight with you.
