This Privacy Policy explains how The Loft (“The Loft,” “we,” “us”) handles information collected through counselingloft.com (the “Site”), including pages for NeuroNook and EDGE.
This policy covers the website only. Health information you share as a client or patient of the practice is protected separately under HIPAA and is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which we provide when you begin services. Submitting a form on this Site does not create a therapist–client relationship.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out a form on the Site, we collect what you enter, which may include:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- The contents of your message or inquiry
- Your email address and name if you sign up for our newsletter or request a free resource
Please do not include sensitive health details in a website form. If you need to share clinical information, we’ll set up a secure channel once you’re a client.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our Site and its hosting provider automatically log basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you view. We may use cookies and similar technologies, and privacy-conscious analytics tools (for example Google Analytics or Plausible), to understand how the Site is used and to keep it working properly.

- Business transfer — if the practice is ever sold or reorganized, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

Data retention
We keep form submissions and newsletter records for as long as needed to respond to you, provide the service you requested, and meet our legal and recordkeeping obligations, then delete or de-identify them.

We take reasonable steps to protect information submitted through the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information through the Site from children under 13. Our services support children and teens, but intake and communication for a minor are handled through a parent or guardian offline. If you believe a child provided information through the Site, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any email. To ask what information we have about you, or to request that we correct or delete it, contact us using the details below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law.
Third-party links
The Site links to other websites (for example scheduling tools, research organizations, and social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their policies separately.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes may be announced on the Site.
