These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of counselingloft.com (the “Site”), operated by The Loft(“The Loft,” “we,” “us”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Not medical advice
The Site is for general information about our services. Its content is not medical, psychological, or clinical advice, and reading it or contacting us through it does not create a therapist–client or provider–patient relationship. Do not delay seeking care because of something you read here.
If you are in crisis or think you may be having a medical or mental health emergency, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.
Using the Site
You agree not to:
- Use the Site in a way that breaks the law or these Terms
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or connected systems
- Interfere with the Site’s operation, or introduce malware, spam, or automated scraping without permission
- Submit false information or impersonate another person through a form on the Site
Scheduling and forms
Submitting a contact form or request through the Site is a way to start a conversation. It does not guarantee an appointment, acceptance as a client, or a specific response time. Appointments are confirmed directly with our office.
Intellectual property
The Site’s text, design, graphics, and other content are owned by The Loft or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may view and share links to the Site, but you may not copy, republish, or use its content for your own commercial purposes without our written permission.
Third-party links and services
The Site links to and integrates third-party services such as online scheduling and research resources. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that the information on it is complete or current.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Loft and its owners, staff, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
